Another painting for all you anime fans out there, this time it's the turn of R. Dorothy Wayneright from the BIG O anime series (great show, even if it's a bit similar to Giant Robo, ha maybe I'll do one of him next). My camera doesn't really do it justice, the colours look much stronger in person.

Beats for days

I just realised I've not uploaded anything for my very own record release!

'Beats for Days: an Instrumental EP' came out late feb on limited edition 12" Vinyl (200 copies, each hand numbered by me) and digital download, both are available on bandcamp (the vinyl is down to the last few copies so be quick if you want it), it's part of a series of Mr Brown Instrumental Ep's of which there will be three in total, so watch this space....

Obviously I did the artwork myself and went for a Romek Maber inspired style (like the old 60's penguin books) with well worn edges, ring ware etc to give it that old well used look, which will continue on through all three instrumental ep's

Lewis Parker - The Big Game (Re-work, layout etc)

I've been super busy lately and am about to move house hence the reason I've not updated this blog recently.

Here's a cool job I did before xmas, the sleeve for the latest release by one of the UK's top (and one of my favourite) hip hop producers.... Lewis Parker! 'The Puzzle, Episode One: The Big Game' is being released on a friend of mines new label KingUnderground Records (part of Kingunderground.com), I didn't actually design all the artwork for the sleeve as that had been done a while back by Lewis and someone else (I don't know who) I basically reworked all of it to bring it up to par for print, I tweaked colours, reworked all the text, logo's, layout/placement etc, I also did the record labels aswell (not pictured).

Was definitely a dope project to be involved with and can't wait to get a copy of the vinyl!

Motive Skateboards - Typographic series

These are the latest and the second series of boards that I designed for Motive Skateboards.

Skateboarding has been a very influencial part of my life since I was 9, so getting the chance to design some graphics has been really great. hopefully it will be an ongoing thing, plus it may give me the chance to work with some other skateboard companies if the future.

This design was concieved by the company owner and good friend of mine, former pro skater Rob Selley. He sent me a rough sketch and I took it from there to the final design.

I'll start adding older examples of my art and design work but for now i'll keep it to the most recent stuff
